FAN.TASTIC FEMALES – Football Her.Story

Soccer and fan culture – only for men? No way! But what do we actually know about women in the fan scenes of Europe? What stories do they have to tell and what is their view of “the most beautiful pastime in the world”? One thing is clear: there have always been women in soccer stadiums – often not officially, sometimes not wanted and not visible everywhere, but they have always been there. Only where there are books and interviews about soccer or its fans, it is still rarely women who tell the stories. The project Fan.Tastic Females – Football Her.Story therefore wants to tell the stories of fan.tastic women – about their love and passion for the sport, about their way to the stands, their greatest, most impressive, funniest but also their less beautiful moments in soccer. In a so far unique exhibition, made by fans for fans, the diversity and the realities of female fan culture in European soccer (and beyond) will be shown – from the perspective of the protagonists themselves.

The exhibition is organized by members of the Football Supporters Europe (FSE) network.
