Kitchen towels “Celery, chilli, cats, bicycles and much more….”
The motifs on this kitchen towel are drawings created in workshops with young people from pro mente Upper Austria. Themes and stories from the everyday life of the young people and their professional training in the kitchen and service are woven into the dishcloths.
Workshops were offered at KunstRaum Goethestrasse xtd as part of a training programme for young people who learn to work in the kitchen and in service under joint supervision. The characteristic of the workshops at KunstRaum Goethes-trasse xtd is that the participants develop craftsmanship and curiosity, and in the end products are created from the results of the workshops.
The drawings created in the workshops with the young people show things from their work and everyday life. Based on well-known structures and patterns for kitchen towels, these drawings became motifs for unique kitchen towels.
