ALLIANCES – STAGED EVENTS BY PEOPLE WHO PUT THEMSELVES IN THE PICTURE

https://dorftv.at/video/27196

“Self-portraits,” which highlight the unique nature of human presence, are made visible in the new premises of the Salzburg Outpatient Psychiatric Rehabilitation Center.

Unlike tableaux vivants, in which works of painting and sculpture are portrayed by living people, visitors encounter icons of 20th-century visual art, film, and music.

The way the self is presented is chosen by the performers themselves, a diverse group of artists from KunstRaum Goethestrasse xtd. They form alliances with those images/figures that seem familiar to them and with which they wish to represent themselves. These are certainly not to be missed in the unchanged functional spaces such as the group rooms and occupational therapy room.

A collaboration between APR Salzburg and KunstRaum Goethestrasse xtd

As part of the pro mente reha conference in cooperation with the Christian Doppler Clinic Salzburg, “Trauma Therapy in Rehabilitation,” on October 12/13. May 2017.
