They saddled the horses and rode off in all directions!
Culture fosters community! The KunstRaum Goethestrasse xtd invites you to view the results of selected art and cultural projects that our friends and participants have created together with the KunstRaum over the past few months.
The exhibitions of the projects “Create a Story” and “Paper Flowers – Action” can be viewed until August 20th during the opening hours of the KunstRaum Goethestrasse xtd!
We continue to work on a CITY OF RESPECT, countering the “fear society” with a constructible, positive vision of respectful coexistence, to which everyone can contribute.
Create a Story in Words and Images, Objects, Video, Texts
Art and culture enthusiasts were invited to create books based on their individual stories. The annual theme of KunstRaum Goethestrasse xtd, “They saddled their horses and rode off in all directions,” served as inspiration for the short stories, essays, fairy tales, poems, drawings, photomontages, watercolors, and more.
Paper Flowers – Craft Kits for Home

Many people responded to KunstRaum Goethestrasse xtd’s call to craft paper flowers during the Covid-19 lockdown, bringing a little joy to their dreary everyday lives. Instructions for 1,500 flowers were sent out in craft kits, which are now being returned to become visible together and tell their stories.

CITY OF RESPECT originated as a long-term vision within the KunstRaum Goethestrasse xtd and has already been explored in diverse art and cultural projects and art and communication campaigns, including collaborations with the City of Peace Linz and LINZ AG Linien. Based on the conviction that everyone wants to shape, influence, and make a difference, we offer the use of art, participation, and involvement in the city’s public spaces and exhibition spaces to facilitate this. Both the city and respect are malleable, shaped by relationships and interactions. With CITY OF RESPECT, we counter the “fear society” with a malleable, positive vision of respectful coexistence, to which everyone can contribute. Solidarity is therefore also a crucial aspect of a City of Respect – this city is built on cohesion.
