What are the things that are available to us now? What are the things we can do or change now? What are the things that are important to us now? What are the things of memory, of the everyday and of the future?
The KunstRaum Goethestrasse xtd launched a call with questions about such things in order to bring people at home and via online workshops into an engagement with things and to invite them to let new things emerge.
During the time when everyone had to spend a lot of time at home, the 50 participants of “Things we can do now!” developed their project ideas. Through the use of methods developed by KunstRaum for this purpose and the support from a distance, an artistic-creative process took place that supported the individuals in their design and creativity.
The results – objects, mobiles, drawings, paintings, texts, photographs, textiles and objects of daily use, brochure and accompanying booklet – showed and told stories of how each individual dealt with the “distance life” for themselves.
“distance-life” for themselves. The presentation of all objects as well as the documentation of the process and the methods also made it possible to grasp the time in which we are currently living.
