“No two projects are alike!” A look back at 2017 and a look ahead to 2018
Much is on display for the first time! Unexpected diversity!
Photographs, videos, objects, and texts form a retrospective of 2017. Numerous artistic installations, so-called “off-site” productions, as well as stagings, videos, and performances for external conferences were produced by KunstRaum, but presented not here, but on location.
Special features and uniqueness, participation of many!
Many of the artistic projects realized in 2017 were created in collaboration with school pupils, students, artists, people with psychosocial support needs, city residents, representatives from art and social associations, colleagues from pro mente Upper Austria and its subsidiaries, as well as art enthusiasts and many more. They all contribute to the special features and uniqueness of KunstRaum’s work: realizing and understanding artistic works within the broader art context and establishing relationships.
KunstRaum as a production site! The installation of a studio is visible in the showroom at Goethestraße 30.

The current recipients of the City of Linz Art Recognition Prize for Fine Arts and Interdisciplinary Art, Susanne Blaimschein and Beate Rathmayr, have developed the annual theme for 2018: “Cooperation is a long road. We can make something happen.” Future-oriented and lived experiences come together in collaboration with many different people, institutions, associations, and the methods and existing specifics of KunstRaum Goethestrasse xtd. And: the “City of Respect” project will continue in 2018.
