We continue building the city of respect!
Exhibition “CITY OF RESPECT. WE BUILD ON SOLIDARITY!”
We warmly invite you to come by, curate the exhibition yourself and thus help shape a city of respect!
How do we want to live? What is needed in my city? What does a city of respect look like for me?
From spring 2021 to summer 2022, participants of pro mente Oberösterreich from the Pyhrn-Eisenwurzen region designed and built a future of respect with various actions in the public space of Steyr in an artistic participatory process.
In the exhibition space, photographs, videos and statements show what has emerged from the cooperation. The processes, results and the people who built this city of respect are also visible.
A walk-in installation made of textiles and writings in the showroom forms the counterpart to the documentary in order to make the findings of the cooperation tangible to the senses.
In both exhibition spaces, we invite you to become part of the initiative of a “City of Respect” and to take part in shaping it: Whoever wants to can rearrange the existing photographic material in the exhibition space during the exhibition period and thus bring an additional narrative into the togetherness. (Selection/idea: Reinhard Winkler)
