MOVEMENT – RESISTANCE

Students of the Art University Linz test methods and strategies of resistance. Starting with the resistance of one’s own body to the invention of different tools for articulation in public space to performative actions in public space.

What the artistic works have in common is concrete action and thus creating new realities; making demands visible and self-empowered implementation of concerns, such as renaming the Nibelungen Bridge, “permission signs,” new newspaper formats and other methods of measuring time.

The exhibition at KunstRaum Goethestrasse xtd shows in different formats and media the documentation of these artistic interventions and works, which were implemented during the academic year 2018/19 as part of the projects “Art Action Resistance” and “The Movement of Resistance” of the Artistic Practice at the Institute for Art and Education.
